Improvement Case of Material Procurement in the Air Freight Industry: ANA Holdings Inc.
Contributing to business reform and cost reduction by improving the utilization rate of the procurement system. Monotaro offers services suitable for both normal and emergency needs!
ANA Holdings Inc. aimed to achieve business reform and cost reduction through the "visualization of indirect material procurement" and conducted group-wide initiatives to improve the utilization rate of the procurement system that was in place at the time. However, the utilization rate of the procurement system, which is a key indicator, was not satisfactory, facing two challenges: - Difficulties in integration with the accounting system - The range of goods available did not meet expectations. Therefore, alongside the renewal of the procurement system (to the current system, FORTUNE), we aimed to improve the utilization rate of the procurement system by integrating our 'Monotaro Catalog Site' through punchout. In each location, not everyone is necessarily well-versed in indirect materials, and there were items that were difficult to procure. However, with "Monotaro" via FORTUNE, these items could be quickly found and purchased, leading to a reduction in the invisible human costs associated with indirect material procurement. As a result of these efforts, although still in development, we were able to increase the system utilization rate, and we believe that Monotaro has contributed to this. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
